Hope became Town's third summer signing in 2008, signing on a 2-year deal.
Hope began his career at Blackburn Rovers but left in 1997 to head back north to join Darlington. He spent almost two years with the Quakers before a switch south to Northampton.
In five years with the Cobblers, he established himself as a regular at centre-back, making more than 150 appearances.
In 2003, he left for York en route for Chester City. After a spell at Shrewsbury Hope eventually moved to Wrexham.
With over 400 appearances to his name he will bring experience to the Town squad this season.
