Much is expected from young defender Ryan Bennett, who was promoted to the first team squad at the end of the 2006/ 2007 Season and has never looked back.
Ryan capped last season with a call up to the England Under 18s side and made his full debut against Austria in April 2008.
He also went onto scoop Town's Young Player of the Year award at the end of the season.
Joined the Mariners from Ipswich Town. The first-year YT impressed all season with his displays at centre half for the Youth and Reserve sides. Ryan is a talented player, who is strong in the air, and likes the ball to feet. He is calm under pressure and is a good leader on the field.
